Alternative fashion week

Its good news about the alternative fashion show and makes the fact we cant show at graduate fashion week alot better. The only problem is the theme black as it doesnt fit in with my colour scheme, but I will just have to make a seperate outfit for it.

Update

Over christmas I have started to think about designs for my final collection and have started a new sketchbook. Hopefully I will get a few more designs done before we start back on the 22nd.
I have also been doing my context essay and have a draft for all my sections, but still have alot more to do for it.

Work handed in

All of my work was handed in today, sketchbook, proposal and link to my blog. I am going to carry on with all of uni work over christmas and hopefully get some more initial ideas done.

• I have found putting all of my thoughts and ideas on my blog really useful and it was really helpful to look back at my thought process and see how my ideas have developed. It was an effective way of putting forward my thought process
  

Marketing presentations

Went into Uni today to watch marketing presentations they were really good and was interesting to see the work other students have been doing. Went into the library after to some more research to context. Just got a few bits to do before I hand research and planning in tomorrow.

This is showing my collection ideas for Spring/Summer 2007, this is what I want to achieve for my collection, beautiful individual gowns that look like rare antiques for that extra special occassion. Also showing the market I am aiming my collection at glamorous women 25+

Accessories and Make-up

Initial ideas into make up, seductive strong eye colour. Accessories shoe ideas glamorous with embellishments to match my collection. Also like the idea of making bags to match my gowns, in the same fabric and details.

Fashion illustrations

I really like these images and they are the look i want for my collection-they give the look of glamorous and individual- so i think i will practice further with my drawings, i also want to add crystals and fabric on my illustrations which i have started to do because i like the uniqueness they create. My initial ideas for photoshoot ideas, i like the idea of close up images to show the details of my gowns and also like the non colour images that look more vintage.
