Work handed in

All of my work was handed in today, sketchbook, proposal and link to my blog. I am going to carry on with all of uni work over christmas and hopefully get some more initial ideas done.

• I have found putting all of my thoughts and ideas on my blog really useful and it was really helpful to look back at my thought process and see how my ideas have developed. It was an effective way of putting forward my thought process
  

Marketing presentations

Went into Uni today to watch marketing presentations they were really good and was interesting to see the work other students have been doing. Went into the library after to some more research to context. Just got a few bits to do before I hand research and planning in tomorrow.

My Collection Ideas and Market

This is showing my collection ideas for Spring/Summer 2007, this is what I want to achieve for my collection, beautiful individual gowns that look like rare antiques for that extra special occassion. Also showing the market I am aiming my collection at glamorous women 25+

I found these images while researching for context and really like the delicacy and intricacy of the gowns.

Accessories and Make-up

Initial ideas into make up, seductive strong eye colour. Accessories shoe ideas glamorous with embellishments to match my collection. Also like the idea of making bags to match my gowns, in the same fabric and details.

Fashion illustrations

I really like these images and they are the look i want for my collection-they give the look of glamorous and individual- so i think i will practice further with my drawings, i also want to add crystals and fabric on my illustrations which i have started to do because i like the uniqueness they create. Photoshoot ideas

My initial ideas for photoshoot ideas, i like the idea of close up images to show the details of my gowns and also like the non colour images that look more vintage.

Theme music for final collection

I have been listening to lots of music recently in the mind for my final collection music, the track i like most at the minute is Etta James- I just want to make love to you. I think this music fits in the theme of seductive women which was a key in my trend.

Design Ideas

I have been looking into designs for my final collection my ideas have been narrowed down to embellishments and texture, I have been creating samples looking at floral images and getting influences from these. I am now at the stage to start translating my samples into initial designs.

Final collection work

All work towards final collection inspiration has to be handed in on tuesday, i have all the requirements needed for my blog I am just going to work on my sketchbook and initial ideas further before hand in.

Context- tutorial

Had a tutorial with Janet today about work in progress, have got some work to research but i am along the right lines, just need to carry on typing my sections up. Also need to produce detailed information on all of my sections and email to Janet next week.

RSA competition

Had a rush yesterday took my boards to be bown up to A2 and fetched back this morning added my crystals and took in to uni today, really pleased with them they look better in A2.

RSA- handed in

RSA work was handed in yesterday, Presentations were okay but really don't like talkin in front of so many people! Was pleased with all of my work, garment and boards. Good news is I am being entered into the RSA competition as well, which I was really pleased about.So I just need to blow my final boards up to A2 now, and nothing needs changing on my boards which is good. Because I have got to get all of my collection work done for Tuesday and work towards context tutorial tomorrow.
